What Is The Program?

The Athletics Volleyball Program is a dynamic training initiative designed to develop volleyball skills for athletes of all levels. With a focus on technique, strategy, and teamwork, our program offers specialized coaching in key areas such as serving, passing, setting, attacking, and defense. Led by Kiana Walker, a 5 year NCAA volleyball athlete, participants will engage in personalized drills and competitive play to enhance their performance and build confidence on the court. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills, the Athletics Volleyball Program will help take your game to the next level.

Athletes in the Athletics Volleyball Program Will Receive:

1. Personalized Coaching: One-on-one guidance from an experienced coach to help each player improve specific skills and techniques, with a focus on individual progress and development.

 

2. ​Skill Development: Focused training in key areas such as serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking, and defense to create well-rounded players who excel in all aspects of the game.

3. Strength and Agility Training: A tailored fitness regimen that includes exercises for speed, endurance, coordination, and injury prevention, ensuring athletes are physically prepared for the demands of volleyball. 

​

4.Game Strategy and IQ: Insight into volleyball tactics, positioning, team play, and decision-making to develop a deeper understanding of the game.

5. Performance Feedback & Goal Setting: Regular one-on-one feedback sessions to track each player’s progress, set personal goals, and identify areas for improvement, ensuring continuous development and motivation.

6. Team Building: Opportunities to build camaraderie and teamwork through group drills and scrimmages.

7. Community and Networking: Building connections with fellow athletes, coaches, and volleyball enthusiasts, creating a supportive and motivating community both on and off the court.

8. Athletic Gear: Program-branded apparel and equipment, including jerseys and practice gear, promoting team spirit and professionalism.

Why Should Athletes Join The Program? 

Athletes should join the Athletics Volleyball Program as it provides a unique opportunity to take their game to the next level in a focused and supportive environment. With personalized coaching from experienced instructors, athletes receive tailored guidance to improve their individual skills in all aspects of the game. Morning Practice/Training, Training in the morning offers a great start to the day by boosting energy, improving focus, and setting a positive tone for the rest of the day. Morning training will help release endorphins, which can improve mood and reduce stress, allowing athletes to feel more energized and mentally clear throughout the day. By getting active early, athletes can then focus on their studies with greater concentration, knowing they've already taken care of their physical health. It’s a win-win for both body and mind!

The Pursuit School Of Sport

Lloydminster Athletics Volleyball Program is proud to partner with The Pursuit School of Sport, offering athletes an incredible opportunity to balance academic achievement with athletic excellence. This partnership enables students to earn education credits towards graduation while dedicating time during school hours to their sports training.

The Pursuit School of Sport provides an engaging in-class learning environment, with classes held Monday through Thursday. This flexible schedule allows athletes to focus on both their academic and athletic development, paving the way for success both on and off the court.
